Removing Red Wine Stains—The Formula

Materials Needed:

  • ½ cup hydrogen peroxide
  • 1 cup water
  • Dishwashing detergent or Soap
  • Clean cloth or paper towel
  • Spray bottle

Instructions:

  1. Create a mixture of the mentioned items. Put the solution into a spray bottle.
  2. Blot the stain with paper towels. Avoid rubbing the stained area to prevent the stain to penetrate further onto the article.
  3. Spray the solution directly onto the stained area. Be generous in applying the solution, but don’t exaggerate.
  4. Take a clean white towel and dab the affected area.
  5. Witness how the combination of soap and hydrogen peroxide clears out the stains like a magic!
  6. Launder as you normally would.

This technique does not actually remove the wine from the clothing, but only removes the stains off of the surface. Nonetheless, the mentioned method also works well for stains caused by coffee, tea and cool-aide.
