Almost everyone loves to eat out. Not a lot of people can afford eating at really expensive places so they turn to McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy’s and just fast food places in general. People like their food and wind up eating there more and more. After they eat their almost every day they find out they have gained weight from not being careful. There are ways to not gain weight eating at those places.
Instructions (Steps):
When you order your hamburger ask them to leave the bun off. I know this might be hard at first and might not taste right but you will get use to it and enjoy the actual hamburger part. You can leave the toppings on. Ask for extra lettuce on the hamburger since you won’t be having the bun. Pickles, and onions are fine. Leaving the bun off your hamburger will be the most important step in helping you to lose and keep the weight off.
Don’t always order a hamburger or hotdog when you’re out. Most places have salads at low prices. Always check the freshness of the salad and make sure it’s still fine. Watch the toppings you put on the salad. Some salad toppings aren’t very healthy for you such as bread crumbs.
Avoid having fries, onion rings, or any kind of pasta. Fries are very high in carbs and calories. Instead ask them if you can order a small salad instead of fries.
When ordering a dessert see if they have fruit instead of icecream. Most places do have things like fresh apples. Don’t get icecream unless if it’s sugar free or low in calories and carbs. Not all places have sugar free icecream. If they don’t have any of those things sip on another cup of coffee and wait until you get home and fix a special dessert just for you.
One thing that is tricky is ordering a drink. Not all places have a huge variety. Don’t get a regular coke or regular soft drink. Try having their tea, water, or milk. If you must have a soft drink get a diet one but only drink one diet drink.
Before ordering, ask them if they have a low calorie or low carb menu or ask if they recommend something that is low in calories. A lot of places now have these choices.
If you know you’re going out that night try having a light healthy snack like 30 min before you go out. This will decrease your appetite and you’ll not want as much.
Tips & Warnings:
- Sometimes it’s a good idea to remind them at the end of the order that you don’t want fries because they are so use to giving them out.
- Don’t act rude when they give you something that you didn’t order. They might be having a rough day, and just simply did it by mistake. Smile, and act polite. A smile at a fast food place can go a long way. Most of them are use to ppl being rude so surprise them.
